    Fuel pump question

i have a 93 SL 750 and a 94 SL 650 i see where u can drill out the fuel pump and add two more outlets to make it a tripple is there some reason not to do this? why buy an $40 pump when i can make mine into 1 for free
    Thanks

It may be possible, but I'm not sure the pulse and fuel cavities are large enough to provide sufficient fuel volume.

ive done it before and it seemed to work, never measured the output pressure so dont know how well it worked.
u could try it and measure the output pressure, then ud know if it was up to par. but it wont be free u still need two nipples per pump and some time playin with it

Because those pumps are 17 & 18 years old, they should be "updated". Internal parts wear and the fuel pressure drops. That's the main reason for replacing the pump, not just the triple outlet.
