    160 km (100 mile) Lake Mead NV / AZ Ride - Sat 8th Oct, 2011

    Hail, Rain or Shine!
    We will launch from Boulder Harbour and head on for an adventure through Lake Mead. Overall it will be approx. 160km trip (100 mile return).
    Regardless of your age, size, height, weight, ability, disability, race, color, religion, beliefs, sexual preferences or shoe size – EVERYONE IS WELCOME!! Just reply here to confirm.

    I'm gonna personally going to have a ski at 8 am from Henderson, NV. Then I'll drive over to Boulder Harbour, Nevada, for a 8:45 - 9 am launch. Ride all day, fill up on the water and back at the boat ramp at an estimated 3 to 4 pm.

    Recommended Equipment :

    Money (Lunch/Fuel/Fee's)
    GPS unit if you have one
    Camera
    Sunscreen
    Tour Jacket (weather pending)
    Hat / Beanie / Helmet
    Ride goggles / Sunnies
    Sense of Fun & Adventure


    Launch times:

    Boulder Harbour Boat Ramp
    Sat 8th Oct, 8:45 am


    Ride Details:


    Launch Boulder Harbour
    Pass Hemmenway Harbour to pick up any launchers from there (approx 9 am ' ish)
    Head to Hoover Dam
    Head to Callville Bay to pick up any launchers from there (approx 9:30 ' ish)
    Then we head East through 'The Narrows' with WOT
    Make way to Temple Bar to fill up and have a coffee
    Then head north to Echo Bay for lunch on the water (maybe refuel if required?)
    Then head back toward Boulder Harbour

    I might have to add the following to the thread:
    For all those not attending the 'Worlds at Havasue', you are more than welcome to come on an adventure ride. The lake will be empty.

    was gonna do finals, but its soooo crowded, and i prolly wont get to check out the new 'Doo's while there cuz 30,000 others are there b4 me...

    thats right raceneked - a bit of a hike but hopefully worth it

    Hey, what sort of weather conditions is it like there atm.
    Is the water cold?
    What would / should one wear for a days riding this time of year there?

    Mead is always worth it.
    the weather is getting a lil cooler, mebbe a riding shirt in the morn, mid-day should be trunks.
    although...
    the weather started getting poor here today with a weather front moving in, should be at the lake by tomorrow morn.

    looks like you'll slip in right in behind the first cold front of the year, lest it lags.
    supposed to be 20 degrees cooler than norm, but warming for sat/sun.
    you may wanna pack a shortie, just in case.

    I'm now off to get a calendar...
