Thread: 300 vibration

I noticed a vibration between 4,850 and 5,100. Running with cruise control I can consistently reproduce it at those exact rpms. Above and below its perfectly smooth. Still hitting 7,900. This seems to be right around the exact rpms when it starts making boost, could it be the SC ? Anybody else having same thing ?

I hate worrying there is something wrong with the ski, nobody has anything similar happening to their ski ? Any suggestions besides checking the belt ?

Guess that ain't it then, only repeating what rice suggested, dang. It's not even like I can take it to the dealer, because unless they water test it I know the answer will be they can't reproduce it.

most vibrations will be in the pump/drive shaft....

smooth as a baby's butt from idle to 4,850, then a vibration right up until 5,100-5,200 and then smooth as a baby's but again all the way to 7,900... It's perfectly reproducible, setting the cruise control at 5K and using the up and down arrows to see when it comes and goes. To me it actually feels like its coming from the left hand side of the ski in the middle ( right from the SC area ).... 25 hrs on the ski, don't tell me i'm the first one that is going to blow a SC

Hey anything is possible, just the reality is IF they were going to fail, Other guys would have had the failure before you,
AS with all due respects you wont ride hard as them !!!!
what have you done to your ski as for as mods
I feel that on my ski i can feel the WB vibrating on the hull..........considering the box is only held in by a rubber band and there is a point were the engine will have a vibration point..........on my 250 I put a xtra strap & rubber under the WB to stop it vibrating ,
how do I know that was the problem......
When i removed my WB i could see all the glass dust on the contact area of the box too mount pad
sounds like your problem to me Chris
