The function of the cam pulse trigger is to signal the ECU as to when the number 1 cylinder is going to fire (in a fuel injection system this is what indexes the firing and programing sequence). It is not used to control RPM in any way.

The RPM input to the ECU is from the crankshaft sensor, and this is the most popular way of configuring an ECU strategy for engine management.

"Thanks Shawn" So i will not remove one of the cam finger ! But i saw that on pwc today a while back. And as for the injector's i need to know if i need more fuel because of the boost that i am running at 16 to 17 PSI. what do you recommend or does ECU take care of that?

With stock injectors you will be at 86-90% duty cycle at 17PSI @ WOT 6830RPM. That will be upper limit and a good intercooler like the one I build (Nitrocooler) is a must. With the stock ECU you should be OK because it won't go over approximately 6500RPM no matter what you do.
