    reducing exhaust noise

    hi guys
was wondering if there is anyway to reduce the exhaust noise after removing the resonator to install the xs intercooler..went for a cruise during the weekend and it is loud without the resonator while u cruise on low rpm...

thru hull is meant to be a nicer note, maybe even quieter than free flow

    Nicer, for sure.
    Quieter, surely not?

Hard to get rid of that low rpm drone whichever way you go Kiet.

The rear exit hull type pipes do not dron the same as the by-pass pipe in the low to mid RPM range but both types are louder.

IMO the Riva rear exit is the best option.

Damn that sucks, maritime is cracking down on loud exhaust. Been talking to others and they said to connecting a nozzle to spray water into the exhaust close to the exit will help reduce the noise?.I see riva pro water box has a nozzle for a water line.

I am not sure about the RXT but the RXP has a nozzle to spray water in to the outlet pipe already to reduce the sound made.
