    Missing Something??

Just finished breaking in my new 300x. Did everything by the book. Now that the 5 hours are up i wanted to see what this Beast would do. But to my surprise i was only able to get 61mph out of her on a smooth clear day out on the lake. And yes she was trimmed up and i was standing on the back rails hoping to see 73mph. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice as to what possibly could be causing this lack of speed? I can get 69 and 71 out of my seadoo's on a daily basis.

my suggestion is read all the threads in the performance section, and just a friendly reminder the speedos are never accurate.

    Bring a gps.

The 300 should go 65-66mph stock.

    61 seems slow for a new 300.

Have you had it out in the rough? That seems to be the kawi's strong suit, not necessarily speed.

No Duke the lake in which i ride in our cove area doesn't see to much rough stuff. I have not taken her out in the middle of the lake where on a strong southeast wind blowing day the whitecaps start to roll...

No one care to help this guy out?

I wish I could be of more help. Maybe one of the more helpful forum members wi
    L chime in.

I have been looking at getting the 300, but reliability issues, and the inflated performance claims have kind of turned me off.

They have that's why there all in one place now . But to answer your question as others stated you need a gps. And if you don't have washer mod or scom module u will never see over 67mph
