Battery warning beeping at me but goes off

I have the original battery in 07 250x w/ 40 hrs. It starts fine but I took it out to go get a new one to be on the safe side. Before going to the store I decided to check it and my trickle charger indicated it was fully charged.

What kind of battery life do you get out of these things ? This one has been in coastal South Carolina all it's life.

Carry jumper cables or just bite the bullet ?

had mine since 2007 its still fine, they will beep at first start up thats just a sensitive switch issue no probs unless it cranks very slow.

Thanks. It didn't do it my first time out so I thought maybe it was getting ready to shit the bed on me. I still think I'll carry jumpers for long rides though...

Mine also beeps, I can charge it and it's fine for a while. I think it's going bad but I'll wait until next year since it cranks fine.

I know its been a while, but I believe if you install the lanyard and fire it up pretty quickly the low battery indicator will beep. Try plugging the lanyard and letting it sit for about 10 seconds, then fire it up and see if you get the same beep. It's been a couple years, but I believe mine did the same thing.

The link isn't working for some reason....just posted what I thought I remembered mine to do. As I mentioned, it's been a while and wasn't sure if what I posted was accurate. lol The reason I remembered is because mine did the same thing and one of you guys informed me of the same issue when I questioned my low battery indicator.

Yeah I guess it's a known glitch. Mine does it as well. Used to do it when starting in reverse all the time, now it always does it in forward too.
Will have to try the lanyard delay thing.
