Knock Sensor Problems Continue
So while i was on vacation, the ski was filled with 87 octane one time because we were low on gas and thats all the dock offered. Long story short the ski through the knock sensor code. 0326. I figured it was because of the 87, now i have been through 3 tanks of premium and it still gives me the code every once in awhile. Not everytime but id say 2/3 times. So my question is, do i need the update? or do i have a bad sensor? Yes my ski is an 04.

The ski never had a problem before the 87 octane fuel? Whats your max rpms?

more then likely the wire that goes from the ecu to the sensor plug is bad. i had the same issues with mine. when i performed the ohms tests in the book i found the problem. replace the wire with a new shielded wire and problem solved. this is on a 04 rxp

Okay, thanks guys! Sorry i didnt respond, i was sent away to college so i couldn't get my internet working for the longest time! Luckily my house is only 25min drive from my dorm so i can still ride and wrench as i see fit haha. But thankyou for the advice, i think i'll bring it to the dealer first and then replace that wire. As for the RPM's it limits them to 6700, and yes it only started after running 87.

So.... i gotta really dumb question. How did u just replace the wire from that A-Plug? Wiring scrars me and that seems very hard to do! Secondly, where does it tell you how to do an ohms test? Sorry for all the questions, riding at 40mph is getting kinda old! hahaha
