Mounting Boarding Step For Yamaha SUV

Picked up a new OEM boarding step for my SUV 1200. Has anyone installed one of these?
If so, how do you keep the step "down" to mark and drill the holes? Nothing in the instructions say how. Also there were 3 long zip ties in the box.

    Check out Aqua Performance website.

They made them for Yamaha and the 1200XLT instructions are probably the closet match to your ski.

If you can't find any that you like I have scanned copies of instructions for a FX140 step that are more detailed and very similar for installation purposes. PM me because I will need your email address to forward them to you.
