    **** buyers beware **** stolen parts ****

Guys, a good friend of mine had his ski stripped of some parts making the ski not worth putting back together the night of August 6th. The ski was secured the following night but there was evidence they were back the next night to steal the rest.

We were waiting a little before posting anything to see if any of the parts would turn up but so far haven't come across anything so we figured to go ahead and post something so others can be on the lookout.

This could not have happened to a nicer guy.

He had ALL of his electronics including gauge, R&D controller, custom blue carbon side plastics and hood, custom glove box lid with silver carbon (bottom hinge was glued), seat with custom JetTrim seat cover stolen from his ski from the New Port Richey, FL area.

The side plastics were off my 06 so they were originally gold, then the face was painted blue (so the backs are still gold) and were hydro-dipped with carbon fiber, so they should easily be spotted.

The seat has a a custom JetTrim seat cover on it, exactly like mine (see pics) but with blue stitching, medium slip, and carbon fiber bottom. Design is not the normal design so it too should easily be spotted.

Appreciate if anyone spot these parts to let me know.

    Thanks for your help,
    Gus

Was it outside somewhere? Thats pretty ballsy to be removing parts like that.

I'll keep an eye out over here. Its going to be really hard to hide that stuff.

I don't want to disclose the exact location, but it was outside, but in a secured area. They had to hop a 7' chain link fence and carry the parts over the fence. The next day they cut the fence probably to be able to carry the engine out, to find that the ski was not there. We feel it was targeted at that single ski for some reason. Thanks for keeping an eye out. It is an unfortunate occurrence.

I agree, I don't know what they would plan to do with that custom stuff, I surely wouldn't want to run it on my ski if it was stolen.

I'm sure economics has a lot to do with it but knowing what is going on down there; why on earth would you leave your ski outside, backyard or not?
Are the storage facilities that expensive or no less secure?

sorry to hear abou it..sucks but when i got robbed i felt lucky they got spooked when my dogs got out..and left so they didnt clean me out ..they had a moving truck..in broad daylight..

chances are really good they arnt on here.we are a different breed..and the parts will show up at the local jet ski hang out..at least they will be recognizable...the cops wont do anything because you cant prove thoes are your parts... no serial numbers..so you will have to handle it yourselves just dont do anythng to get yourself in jail...sucks it works that way but it does the law protects the criminals more than the victim
