    Lost Propulsion jumping waves

Have a Yama GP1200R with Riva Exhaust, Riva Waterbox, and race impeller. I was jumping some medium waves yesterday when I crashed down after jumping one and immediately lost all propulsion. Engine just revs. I can't get ANY propulsion. Any ideas on what it could be? What should I look for?

I just put my hands underwater under the grate and felt for obstruction but there wasn't any.

driveshaft splines are likely to be stripped..may not look that way with the ski out of water but look for metal shavings in the pump area.

Well think I will have to take it in somewhere either way because I am not so handy. Is it a tough job? Expensive job?

    Welcome to the forum Joe.
There are a few things that can be causing your situation. Like mentioned before, check to ensure you didn't suck anything up into your intake grate.
You do this on the trailer or have a buddy help you roll it on its side.
After you've eliminated an obstruction, your next focus should be if your cavitating or not. With jumping waves, you could have blown out some of the packing around the pump shoe. Have you lost all drive? Or if you feather the throttle to get it up on plane, then once on plane it goes pretty good.

I'd start with the easy stuff first. Let us know what you find.

I have lost ALL drive. Feathering the throttle does nothing. All I know about the grate it is when I used to unclog it seaweed got stuck in there. Could the obstruction be behind the grate? Because as I had mentioned before, I did run my hand under the grate and didn't feel anything.

I also recall hearing a rattling sound toward the back when I feather the throttle.
