Ignition update Kit for 99 Genesis 1200 (Carb)

Hi, I am told that you can install and use the ignition kit PN 2873091 which is for the 1050's but that you may need to adjust the timing. Has anyone ever done this and does it work?

And would you believe our Polaris dealer does not have the timing adjuster from SPX does anyone know where I can get one of these PN 2872290

    Thanks

A 1200 does not need an update. Which part do you need or what is the issue you are having?

i wouldn't think it would work nearly as well as the cdi is programed for a 68mm stroke and the timing curve would be off no matter what you timed it for at idle

BraynP, I need a CDI which seems imposible to get PN 4010171 or 4010377 both are discontinued.

    Thanks
