Poor quality SC washers ? need help to SC asap

    Hi everyone.

My SC is driving me crasy.

Ordered a new rebuilt kit, because I had a bent shaft.
I am installing the rebuilt kit right now, but ran into trouble.

The washers look very very poor I have never seen anything like this.
The surface is very rought and they are not surface grindes at all. Just raw metal.
Should it be like that ?

I had a new set of riva washers for a 06 assambly any they look much better. And they are surface grinded. But I noticed thay don´t fit my new shaft ?
The new rebuilt kit has no: 881101

I added two pic of the washers that was included in the rebuilt kit and the 06-07 washers I have beside.

Those are actually very good washers. They are the ones Sea Doo has providing in the rebuild kits and the same ones that Rotax Racing has been selling for a couple of years. don't let the rough texture scare you

Is it normal to have a little play in the shaft after installing new bearings ? I checked with my dial gauge and it can move up and down 0,01 - 0,015 mm. I can actually hear the play when I move it up and down. Is that dormal ?

Slip had to be adjusted on mine about four times then they bit and held. Those are the best washers out bro.

Yes; this is normal. High speed bearings are set up with some play, because they heat up and the play closes up during use.

Yep your good to go. General rule of thumb is 1 pound of slip for every pound of boost. So 9.5 PSI slip should be no less then 10 LB/FT..
