rev limit to 3200
So I got the updated cdi and stator installed and put it in the water but now it only revs to 3200 rpm. I cant remember if the tan wire that comes from through hole in the electrical box was disconnected or not when i took it apart but i plugged it back in. Thanks for any help.

well i tried unhooking the tan wire with no luck. I noticed only the middle cylinder was really hot, the back one was warm but the front was cold. This is my first watercraft so any ideas on what else to check would be helpful.

Sounds like a fuel issue. Do you have sparks on all 3 plugs? Did you clean/rebuild the carbs?

I havent done anything to this ski since I got it other than update the ignition system. I dont have my tools with me to check anything now, but i guess it wouldnt hurt to clean the carbs. Are they difficult to remove and clean?

So I just finished cleaning the carbs and getting it back together ( they were nasty)and now I have very little to no spark on one cylinder. I have done the updated ignition, and replaced some fuel lines. REALLY dont want to bring to a dealer, but im running out of things to test and try. ANY ideas on what to check next? ALL help is welcomed. Is there a way to test coil pack that I missed somewhere?

Battery could be weak, it must sustain at least 10.6v WHILE CRANKING, or grounding is not secured.

fuji motors tend not to need the 10.6 volts like the domestics do sounds like a bad coil or a wiring issue somewhere

this SKI is a 96 SL 900. Also with old ignition the plug wires tested between 6-7k ohms, havent tried since ignition update
