650sx hood breather tubes, are they needed? Help!
Hey there guys, just recently bought an 88 650 Sx. I noticed that the back breather tube on the hood when I clamp it down is bending because it's hitting the fuel line on off device. My question is does this have a certain purpose? Or am I able to trim these pieces or go without them?
Just to verify I'm talking about the rubber tube from hood.
Please any advice is helpful! Thanks in advance

I have a 650SX that I covered the one that goes over the breather, took the hose/tube of completly and covered it. I kept the other one and yes you do need at least one so it will breath.
