    Won't start up and run..

I just re-installed a new piston onto my SLT 750.. I also replaced the single outlet with the 3-outlet fuel pump.. I can't get this ski to start again, before replacing the piston and with the old fuel pump this thing started right up. I know I put the gas lines in correct, and installed the piston correctly. When trying to start it, it sounds like it is started then, when I release the start button, nothing. It's like it wont stay running without holding the start button, and what surprises me is the MFD says I have .2 volts. When before I took the battery out it said it had 12-14 volts. (I've kept the battery on a battery charger) I do have a warning on the MFD, lowpr.. But the battery is installed correctly and I have the connections tight. Is it possible that when I went and bought the screw and bolt to connect the battery (Lost one of them) I got a bolt that somehow weakens the connection?

Thanks for all help and information given

    -Carson

    Lanyard in? Gas turned on?

Did you prime the carbs for the first start? Spray a little premixed gas into the throats of the carbs and start - do this a couple of times to prime the fuel lines.

Check the ground connection to the engine - bolt on the case under the drive shaft

Make sure it is clean and tight

I've done each one of these things numerous times... Even went and got gas filter and new gas... Connection is tight.

Disconnect the MFD and see if that helps.

    How would this affect it?

Malfunctioning Mfd can give the lopr error and put the ski in limp mode - unplug to take it out of the equation. Are you 100% sure you routed the fuel lines properly?

Probably spark related tho if you put gas down carbs and still won't start. Have you verified that you have spark?

I don't seem to have as strong as a spark as I did before but these are new plugs and they have been gapped. I verified I routed them correctly, there is fuel in the lines. This is a SLT 750, I thought it didn't hgave Limp Mode, correct me if I'm wrong.

Mfd is a two second check to make sure - I'd try it

When did you last re-tip your plug wires?
