Slower MPH with a Riva 2 deg Wedge????

Hey guys. I have a 2011 RXPX I made a gps run and ran 71.8, installed a straight thru hull exhaust, intercoller relocation kit, 2 deg wedge and vts extension rod. After installing everything I dropped down to 68.8 mph, I tried trim at all positions and still 68.8 mph is top speed. Anyone have an issue like this??

if you are porpoising that would cause a loss in speed

b-dolla44 more than likely has hit the nail on the head. The only mod you made which makes any horsepower increase is the thru hull exhaust. (and it make more noise than horsepower).

Are you saying your RXPX ran 71.8mph on GPS totally stock? I have had a chance to ride alot of PXs and never seen a stock one go 70mph ,most run closer to 69mph on GPS.

Do a 4" front air or a rear air, since you have a I/C relocation kit on.

Get a Solas 15/21 or a 15/22, and a RXP stock 83mm exit nozzle. (You need to get the prop repitched after these mods).

Change you intake grate to a R&D.

These mods will put you around 75mph, easy.

Jp, with my mods, I have the Solas 15/22r. Do u think I need it re-pitched? I'm knocking on 75 mph @8040-8060 rpm and NO WEDGE

Travis, your rpm's are good right where they are. You will pick up a little when it gets cooler.

+1 That does sound fast for a stock ski. Was that with a stock grate?

A wedge will get ya about 1.5 or close to it. You will lose a tad bit of handling though. Wait you have one in your sig??
