15f bearing differences
Can anyone tell me the difference between the 06 pump bearing setup and the 07 on a 15F?
The 06 rear bearing # is 62022RD whilst 07 is 62/22 2RS. The shaft # is different aswell.
If there is a difference, how do you know which one you have?
I didn't look at my old bearing prior to throwing them......

Ok, found it on the Koyo website. Was kinda stumped by it not searching bearing P/N's from the home page, have to go into the catalog.
Looks like there are substantial differences so wouldn't be able to mix them up.
Now off to work out where i went wrong installing my rear bearing......

You didn't say whether you have a 06 or 07 ???
But here you go:
04-06 and before, the rear bearing (smaller) goes into the rear cone.
07-10 and later, the rear bearing (larger) goes into the pump housing. Since the shaft doesn't have to extend all the way into the rear cone, it is shorter on the '07 and later.
That's why the rear bearing can't be interchanged between those two. The front bearing is the same.
BTW, 11+ went back to the 04-06 design.

Thanks meangreenman, I have a 06, but was trying to work out how my rear bearing ended up with enough axial load to destroy itself in 5 min running. Thought maybe i'd mucked up bearings or something but obviously not.
