    Question 1989 SP Loose PTO

    Whats the best way to re-tighten the PTO on my old yellow 580? Thanks in advance.

    remove the rear spark plug,coil a piece of soft nylon rope in the cylinder.rotate the motor until it stops against it as so the motor will stay locked as you (I)use a pipe wrench to snug it up tight.oh just in case,...you leave some rope out so you you can remove it when your done lol
