Power to weight ratio
Today when I was out out on the ski my quickest run was 78.3 my son them went out on the ski and did a 82.1. My son is around 130lb less than me. We both had around 4-5 runs back to back each and the speeds above were our best.
Lake temp was around 65 lake was very flat with no wind.
It just goes to show the difference weight can make to the top speed of our skis.
The next mod on my list is to loose 130lb

that is why my next direction is to make a light weight hull..it saves 170 to 200 lbs depending on how it is made..and can be just as strong ..if the proper materials are used..

i can have the entire hull made out of carbon/kevlar, vacuum bagged around 8500 dollars maybe even a copy of the zapata hull

how much difference did you notice when you got your zapata hull...in acceleration..

We were doing back to back gps speed runs with my buddy (70 kg), my girlfriend (50 kg), myself (90kg), and we found that 20 kg = 1 mph indeed
Typically get 1 mph difference for every half tank, from full to half to running on fumes.
and almost 0.5 mph with my cf seat vs stock seat.
Seems to be so much potential for speed gains in the light weight way, rather than always increasing power and messing up reliability.
Are there many custom light weight hulls out there? Would be great to get any input re. pros/cons from owners
Does anybody know what s the exact net weight of the RXP body (just hull + top deck + hood)?
