    Homebrew VTS for RXTs

Anyone ever think about using a 12 volt screw type actuator to make a VTS system for an RXT? Some of those Zappata pics have my gears turning.

Oh and i know what some of you are thinking. Why the hell would you put that on an RXT? Because i can

I have seen people put the RXP VTS on the RXT.

I know but i was thinking about how much all that costs even though it's really trick because it's just as stock looking as an RXP vts system. Plus you can also activate the gauge which is a major down fall of a homebrew system. I could probably do one with a 12 volt linear actuator for around $200.

Send Stickem a PM. He probably has all the RXP VTS stuff laying around that he would sell you cheap.

Sweet thanks Jerry. How hard is it to wire all that up? I imagine there might be a spot already on the electric panel for it.

it can't be that hard. I had to manually wire the VTS for my Rotax Racing EMS system. It was easy.

I've done it on a GTI all you need is everything for VTS and have the dealer hook it up to Buds and turn it on.You just need the repair manual (wirring diagram)or a RXP right there to see were the wires go.

So you would need a steering nozzle, VTS unit, wiring harness, and switch. I'll have see how much it costs but i can bet it'd be way expensive. I was going to get a 2" 75lb actuator, thru hull fitting of some kind, and a switch to make my own. We'll see how things pan out. Stickem doesn't have anything right now as far as VTS parts.

I might have the complete VTS for sale. All you'll need is switches and wire to go to MPEM.
