07 GPR Gauge Dying
Anyone having problems with their GP1300R Gauges? Mine has some moisture in the outer lense I cannot seem to get to dry out, the LCD is acting up.
Can these skis be run with a dead LCD?

You can unplug the 6 pin connector, I'd suggest doing that until you have time to pull the gauges and dry them out if you plan too. They're pricey and can still be saved if they're not dead.
Mine are currently sitting in a bowl of rice for a few days, I popped the pod open, sprayed the board with electrical contact cleaner and placed it in the dried rice so soak up any moisture. Then I plan on actually sealing the unit up. If that works, I'll just buy an autometer gas gauge. That's all I want it for anyway.

Ok, really sorry for asking but how do you get the lcd out of the dash? Do I have to remove the fairings and all to get the dang thing out?

Like MikeGP said, it really is a pain. The whole console needs to be at least loosened, then pull the fairings, then I reached under and pulled the gauges. It was really a last resort for me. I ride in heavy waves, very often. I'd never buy another gauge pod for it, just to have it ruined again.
