    Exclamation 2010 RXT-X 260 SuperCharger pulled @ 64 hours - need expert advice

Pulled my SC for the FIRST time in this ski and found these "rubbing marks" on the SC housing and PTO housing. The o-rings look at little compress to me.

I checked slip at 30 hours, 9ft-lbs/108in-lbs, right in middle of shop manual specs, while in the engine. Now at 64 hours it has NOT changed.

I had a "little" bit of oil in hose to IC, right at hose connection, and a bit more oil goo in the IC, which is why I pulled the SC.

While out ET 137, Viton seal, and rebuild is the plan. IC soaking in cleaner.

Are the rubbing marks normal to you guys or do I have another problem???????

Question; how much grease was present when you pulled the charger? I am surprised, actually, that we don't see more of this. The charger spins at 40K RPM, setting up ultrasonic vibrations, and since it isn't firmly mounted where it goes into the case, it can literally weld itself to the case if it isn't lubed well. There was a post awhile back where the poster couldn't get the charger out as it was basically welded to the case. Pulled it out and it was horribly scarred, case and SC.

Its normal......a normal "charlie foxtrot" by BRP. Not enough, or the wrong lube was used by the factory. Here my charger when I removed it due to a rear bearing failure:

A fair amount of blue lube was all over it, and the outer lip of the pto housing, you can see some on the second picture before I wiped it off. The SC came out very easy.

Finally checked mine today - have the same oil in SC/hose from SC to IC/IC. I suspect the oil seal also.
