    2008 FX HO thoughts

Hey guys, found a 2008 FX HO with 52hrs on it. What do you guys think about the ski. I know it doesnt have the 1800cc engine, but just want thoughts on this ski and the engine in it.

    Thanks

The 2008 had the nano hull and, IMHO, the most bulletproof motor ever put in a ski. It's not a missile but it will do a genuine 60 mph all day long and still come back with fuel in the tank. I sold one to buy a 2011 SHO. With the price of fuel I wish I still had it. Never let me down. A true all-rounder!!

I have this model, as the previous poster noted, it has the NanoX hull and the bulletproof MR-1 engine (only year of this combo, resulting in only 773 lbs dry weight, unreal for a performance 3 seater) (to compare, 2007 FX HO weighs 827 lbs/2009 FX HO weighs 794lbs). I've hit 62 mpg on GPS with perfect conditions, it's just the perfect ski if you don't want to worry about possible supercharger issues like I didn't. It also sips the gas, I love the thing and the all black color scheme with tribal graphics looks badass imo. To me it's the "Perfect Jetski"

    Here's a good write up on it - http://www.topspeed.com/boats/yamaha...t-ar44329.html

I'v got one with 151 hours on it and its been 100% reliable not one problem. I use it to fish and travel miles off the beach. How much are they asking for the ski? I looking to get the new fx ho and might have to sell mine.

They are asking 6500.00 for it, but think I can get it maybe a little cheaper. Just want to go back to yamaha and keep the Seadoo to play on. I have started taking long distance trips and with little storage and not so good of gas mileage on the RXT-X 260, I think this would be a good ski to have around.

$6,500 is a hell of a deal with only 52 hours on it...

I have a 2007 with the MR-1 engine. No issues at 90 hours with mainly ocean riding.
