gtx 185 supercharger failures
Looking at purchasing a 2004. And I am curious to see how many people have had the ceramic washers sucked in on their 185HP motors stock? I know the 215HP a lot of them fail because of high boost. really appreciate some info. Thanks guys.

How many hours are on it? I'd probably spend the 400 and rebuild it for peace of mind if the owner doesn't have the receipts.

I had Jerry rebuild my 2005 GTX-SC 185 SC at 104 hours with no issues, ski has almost 150 hours on it with mods listed below. Without knowing the exact history of the ski I suggest you send the SC to Jerry immediately for rebuild, change all fluids, plugs, check it over real good and go have fun!

Thanks for the replies. I'm actually picking up an 04 rxp off a seadoo tech. The thing is mint. Fully rebuild OEM parts. But I am also looking a grabbing 2 gtx supercharged for resale. 1 runs good and the other runs but definetly has sc issues. They are 04 with 150 hours. I cab get them cheap. Like 4900$ for both with a 05 double trailer. They have an unknown history. Its a gamble but even with 2 oil pumps and 2 chargers its worth it I think.
