Good OTD Price For '11 15f?

I'm in Orlando, FL., and was kinda talked down to a 15f from a VXR. I haven't ridden either, all I know is one has 160hp vs 180, and both are supposed to be the most bulletproof NA skis available. Yamaha is $3k+ more than the Kawi.

Started out at $6999 for the 15f, but ended up at $8500 OTD. "Retail is 9100 blah blah bullshit." I walked. Way too many fees instead of being straight up with me on the price.

I come home and searched around, and see people have gotten '09's and '10's for $7200-74 OTD. That's what I'm looking for, but no dealer in Central Florida wants to budge. I even offered to buy two 15f's for a better deal, and was approved through Kawi financing in case they wanted to make up some money that way. Everyone is saying they don't make a couple points on the financing anymore.... I call BS.

What is a reasonable OTD price for an '11? Am I being unrealistic? If I'm going to pay $10k+ for a ski, I may as well get an upper end Yami or something. Agreed?

    Thanks for your help/opinions!

PS- since this is the kawi board and I'm mentioning yamaha, I'll throw in that yes, I was interested in the 300x, but it's a little more than I wanted to spend for ONE ski, but was mainly talked out of it because of fuel consumption. I've also read on here there could be potential supercharger issues, and that turns me off as well. Mainly, I live on a lake and plan to use this ski everyday, so I'm looking for the best balance of reliability, power, and fuel consumption. The 300x seemed to have double the operating costs of the 15f, and my lake is small with not much chop. Pre dealer visit, 15f and the vxr were the choice skis from all my greenhulk research.

For a new 15F, $8,000 OTD max should be a good deal.

Yes, the 300X drinks about twice more than 15F. 300 hp vs 160 hp, power ain't coming from free, and 300 got a bigger/heavier hull to carry.

You read about s/c issues on 300 here? Like what?

I just picked up an new 2011 15F for $7395 OTD(without the extended warranty...I heard I can get it cheaper online as long as I do it within the first year). I found it on Ebay and the dealer was only 10 miles from my house so it was super convenient.

When you all talk "out the door" is that with or without sales tax as that can vary from area to area?
