This is a shame, I am really sorry to hear about this happening to good people. We will keep an eye out for it up here in this area Jorge!

This is fucking bullshit. Jorge I'm in the same boat, hope they find both of our ski's

Do the people who steal them just ride them unregistered? Or do they part them out like in a chop shop?
It probably varies... but I would get the HIN number out there as stolen and start trolling Ebay and such for a motor for sale. If they are parting, they have to sell it somewhere.

I see in areas where there are large car theft rings, the police set up "tasks forces" to go out and try and do something about it. Do they think that these 5-15K skis aren't worth the manpower or what? I am amazed that you can even still get insurance on skis in Florida.
The sad part is that if people try to take the matter into their own hands, they will end up getting into more trouble than the crooks.
Best of luck to you guys.

I agree. It just doesn't seem like it's a priority for police.
At least laws in FL are on the side of the property owner & not the criminal. We have a law called the Castle Doctrine that says anyone who forces their way onto your propery or into your car is presumably there to hurt or kill you, & you're able to take any means necessary to protect yourself without having to first retreat like in some states.
I bet if we heard a few more stories like this, there would be a lot fewer thefts:
