Added 4 inch intake, no RPM Difference, but more speed??
I put in my 4 inch intake (kanaflex, spectre filter) and tested it out.
My RPMs stayed the same, 7950, but I hit my highest speed on the GPS to date, 65.5.
Does this make any sense??? Can you go faster but not increase RPMs?
Does my prop need to be pitched?

i can say that i agree with you on the speed. i added a 4" system over riva 3" and rpm stayed the same but it got faster. i would say you want atleast another 150 rpm

if rpm stayed same, it cant go any faster.. that intake got nothing to do whit the speed if rpm stayed same.. riding condition must be reason you got quicker..

hey you know what, thats exactly what i was thinking but its to bad i was riding on a cannal and gpsed my speed drifiting or should i say sitting still. lol. because i wanted to know an accurate reading so i used days where there was no wind and temperatures and humidity was roughly the same. with the 3" intake the current was actualy 0.2 mph and when i gained the 1 mph the current was 0.0mph. the only thing i can think is my tach is not 100% accurate. in all honestly i dont see how these guys claim 8120 8140 8160 and 8180. my tach only regisiters every 50 rpm. so in theory if my tach says i am at 8100rpm i could technically be anwhere from 8075 to 8124rpm. it all depends on the temps you are at. if there is alot of humidity and hot out you will drop some rpms. but the best way to get your rpm back is by pitching your prop a little
