    Nicked impeller

I bought my 250x and it all seems pretty good. 62 hours now, one blade on the impeller was nicked when I bought it, the rpm run 7450 today, low 60's mph. The nick is about 1/8th inch deep and wide. Do you think it could cause the slight drop in rpm or would it cause more rpm from cavation if anything?

It comes out of the hole quick, with no noticeable cavation

if there is no cavitation i wouldnt stress to much, but if you havent upgraded the shaft and bearings to the 300 i would do it and repair the prop whilst your at it

I plan on pulling the pump down and upgrading this winter, just wondered about how much effect the nick has. My ski runs the same speed with just me 215# or if I have my son on with me, 55#. Just seems like something is holding it back a little.

My dad has a jet boat that is pretty quick, my ski won't touch it. His boat will slow down a little with two people verses one.

The season is about over anyway, I'll pulling it down this winter. It's corroded from being left in the water, I want to clean that up and replace the wear ring also.

Yea I seen it cost 250 dollars to have it changed, must not be a straight forward process.
