    Wreckingball's GPR growing pains...

So I was surviving the santa anna heat wave we had here in San Diego by taking the GPR down to Fiesta Island. I had to set the R&D fuel controller settings to my motor anyways...

About 5 min into my counter clockwise cruze, I notice a shinny RXP always 180 away from me while I was making my passes. Well, on my next run around the bay, he was sitting waiting for me to pull up... Eye contact... Nod... GO TIME!

He pulled a pretty quick holeshot putting about a 10 food lead on me (I was getting the full spray off the rear/side of his ski). By the time we were getting to the end of the bay, I had only closed the gap by maybe 2 feet.

I think he expected his 260 hp, $14,000 ski to put a bigger stomping on my $4700 project 2-stroke ski! I think its time to put a new prop on. A prop and ride plate are the only 2 bolt on mods my ski doesn't have yet. Yeah, I could mill the head.... But I like pump gas.

I'm trying to sell my ski, why do I keep buying parts to go faster?

Its the NEED FOR SPEED, its a addiction to buy buy and buy.... can never be fast enough Oh wait I just explained myself...

You can still mill the head and run 91 pump gas.... well you show him, then again he still gonna talk sh*t....
I bet if you had a longer distance you'd probably take him out, I bet when he saw you gaining up he back off and said " I won "

I was starting to over take his speed slowly, but we ran out of room. Too bad InsaneDiego Joe was out at the river. It would have been nice to watch Joe make him look stupid!

shave head so you can raise your compression between 150-155 psi .. fifty bux. 91 octane should be fine ,

update pump to 05 or newer, 200 or so

    Timing adavance or ECM reflash

    the list goes on

    dynafly impeller

    trim tabs

    sponsons

what a is your tach reading?

I actually already have 150 psi in each cyl.

I thought about the timing advance key 3 deg when I had it apart last, but I was thinking I didn't want it to run hot and ruin my long haul reliability. i guess with my fuel controller it wouldn't be an issue.. oh well, not really wanting to tear down that far again..

I run the Riva fixed trim tabs, but I've actually noticed it slowed me down a bit???

    Sponsons are stepped

InsaneDiego Joe is going to hook me up with a AR230 prop if he can find it. I really didn't pay close attention to my tach, I was busy working my way out of the roost.
I also have another PM out for a Riva ride plate... we'll see if that comes through. Cheap upgrade..

BTWard454 just hooked me up with a ride plate, and InsaneDiegoJoe is going to look through his garage to see if he has a prop I could try out. It's a hopeful fit, seeing as both of his scooters are GPRX conversions.

I just won an eBay auction for Riva heads. Didn't think my bid was going to get them, but I'm not saying no to a rare eBay deal.
