98 750 STX Pump Shoe (Intake) Removal
I have to take the pump shoe out of my 750 and replace it due to a simple broken bolt (long story, don't ask).
Anyway, before I tore off into it I just wanted to make sure that it is held in by silicone/sealant alone? I have been over and over the inside of the hull and can't find any attachment points but naturally I don't want to break anything trying to get it out.
Any tips to make it easier?
Thanks in advance.

Use a long, sharp blade to cut it out. It's a pain, but only glue that holds it.

Thanks Steve. Why did I know that you'd be the one to answer this! =)
Seriously, I appreciate the help.

K, I have another dumb question.
Is it glue or silicone that holds it in? Am I going to have to find a particular type of adhesive to put the new one back in?

I actually had one that was loose. I removed it, cleaned it off, then put it back on with 3M 4200 Quick Dry. Tape it in place and smooth out all the excess adhesive.
