06 RXP only running stabil WITH a bov / running like shit without a bov.
I have a wired problem with my RXP. I just did some diffrents mods to the ski and now it runs like shit.
I did a charger rebuilt, put on a new rear exhoust kit and removed the bov I have always used.
Took the ski to the lake for testing. It starts up and idels very fine. But when I reach 3000 rpm the engine is running very rough and vibrates like hell. It feels like you have somthing stuck in the pump and it is shaking a lot and running unstabil. Shutted it off immediatley and got it home. Put on the bov that I have used for like two years now ( R&D / Bosch type ) and everything is back to normal. It runs stabil and smooth with the bov. Just to try I removed the bov again and the problem occures again.
One of my freinds who is working with turbo cars told me that my intercooler maybe was clogged or too small. The pressure that the charger makes would get stuck between the charger and intercooler and try to slow down the charger. I tried to test however he was right or not by bypass the intercooler with the oem charger to TB hose. But it didnīt helped at all.
I sat up the charger clutch to 16 Nm / 142 In Lbs if that matters anything.
I am listing my mods below
Rotax Racing ECU 8300 limiter
Rotax racing 127 mm drop in wheel for 215 charger
4Ļ filter system
Riva valve train
Rear exhoust system
Do any of you guys have any clue on what could be wrong
Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad language

You are thinking of the bov is leaking a lot or ..? I have tested all hoses, pipes and intercooler for leaks but there is none.

I don't know what a bov is but that LSU pix is awesome!

id guess you might be running super rich. if you bov spring is soft enough it could be open during idle which would improve a/f and help driveability. if it leaks under boost (plastic ones usually do) your a/f would be better also. once you remove the bov and seal the system it goes super rich and barely does anything...thats my $0.02. gL

unless your not capping off the flange for the bov when you remove it...in that case your running hella lean and gonna go boom.

I know for sure I donīt run either rich or lean I see similar numbers as I can read from others with the same setup.
I turned a plug to the bov hole so thats definitely not the issue.

Do you get to full RPM with the BOV connected?
