    Make my Freedom go faster

I am new to PWC's and would like to make my 02 Freedom bigger and better. It is starting to get cold here in Pa and I am getting ready to put it away for the winter. It has been taken care of really well and is in like new condition. I have had bikes and ATV's and have worked on them to make them better so I understand that things like exhaust and such helps a lot. So if anyone could help me out with some suggestions on what would help me out I can get started on it. Thanks

Here are a few non engine mods you could add. Get a 6 vein stainless stator. Add trim. That will get you about 2 MPH by itself. OP ride plate will help too. All of these things might get you 4 MPH. Then you could get into the engine, porting, exhaust, etc. Or just drop a 1200 in it. That will get you around 60 MPH

Thanks. I think I will be adding a few things this winter so I will be ready to go out on the water in the spring. First I have to figure out a no spark problem now.

either an ocean pro plate or a stock batwing,if it has the stock batwing don't bother with the op.carbon tech light tension reed petals and dual carbs will make it really hit.haven't seen trim add mph to a 3 seater hull maybe 1 mph but its a LOT of work to add.not easy to pickup mph on this ski without some big dollars.gaining acceleration is a lot easier.

If you dont want to add trim you could get a 6 degree wedge.

i personally don't like the 6 wedge batwing plate combo.the 6 wedge op plate is a good combo but its better suited to smooth water

Most of where I ride is choppier water. Maybe I will leave it stock for now and give it to the wife to ride. I picked up a Yamaha XL1200 tonight for a real good price. Not sure what is wrong with it yet but for the money I paid for it I will make it a winter project.
