    What a great question.

I think Darthraiders triple pipe big bore raider has to be one the fastest raider
It would be great to hear what the actual numbers are.

I have heard big #s for a GP I know for a fact they can go 71+
I know there was more there but I ran out of $$$.
I remember hearing 79+ it sounds possible to me.

It sounds as if the raider might be able to run the same speed if it is set up right.

I have only riden a 701cc Raider but it was enough to learn its quirks you need some intestinall fortitude to want to get thrown from a Raider at high speed they dont toss you gently up in the air they drive you into the water.

    They are pretty fast though............

Man, thats get fast for them skis...well if you lose it at them speeds on the GP, you might live, if you get in the hospital in time. Them speeds with the raider, its an automatic 190% death.

Jumper was quick but not that fast due to her closed course setup.

    1997 GP760 with 1330cc R&D Powervalve stroker motor.

75.0 mph GPS @ 8,500rpm (hard on the rev limiter).

Next tricks will be steeper impeller pitch and playing with pump cones.

    Fastest Raider, IMHO

    raider1100r3 Posted October 20, 2003 10:22 PM Hide Post
i have a lamey triple port stroker with tripple pipes in it. a 95 boat. the were 5 differnt race hulls that were made for the raider top deck, the last were the carbon bottoms, which ive been told were shi* they were buit of the paul coffee hull. word is that when you put them on a stand the would flex from end to end. i have one of the last coffee hulls, it is yellowish green in color and is a thinner gl***. if i remember the top decks all had to be oem. mine is one of the 94 boats light weight fibergl*** vs the heavy smc. i still havent been able to come across a carbon or light weight hood though.

It may be old , but it sure aint slow!

Another fast Raider from the past,

95'1100 raider (250 hours on the clock) still working like a champ best top end speed 68mph on stalker radar gun, hull mods, Riva racing pro sponsons, Riva racing (straight) rear exhaust system, Riva racing drop nozzle, Riva reed spacer, Riva racing CDI, aftermarket couplers, Tau-cetis F/A, pro-tec intake grate, pro-tec short ride plate, oem yamaha 98' XL 3 seater 5 deg. nozzle, pro-tec blueprinted pump, out of the box solas J 14/20 prop, engine mods, Big Bore engine (i replaced the stock and HEAVY 81mm pistons for the lighther and bigger wisecos pro-lights 84mm forged pistons, ported cylinder by Dan Lamey Racer Edge shop in California EXPENSIVE!!! i paid close to $1,000.00 dollars for this particular porting job but it worths the price, true and weld crankshaft, blueprinted cases, ADA head with 175 psi domes, True Cad Desing Red tops 46mm aftermarkets carbs, riva racing intake manifold ported (we changed the oem oval shape that comes with this particular manifold to the square shape of the aftermarket v-force reeds to increase airflow) Riva racing triple fuel pick-up, 3 by-pases to dry out the exhaust system, we achieved the best all arround performance using the stock oem waterbox in one side and the Riva racing rear exhaust at the other side, we do a lot of testing with the Tony Dukakis free flow waterbox and only find more noise (this aftermarket waterbox in my opinion is a complete waste of money) Nothing touch this boat from the hole AND I MEAN NOTHING!!! even the owner of the Billy Pointer Ex factory backed and complete carbon fiber hull moded GP boat with his BIG 8mm stroker engine have his hands full with my boat in the first 100 feets from a complete death stop definitely this hull is the ULTIMATE DRAG MACHINE of all times. GOOD TIMES NEVER DIES!!!!!
