    What my next mod on a budget

    2001 gp1200r 75 hours
    All stock except oil injector removed, d plate, chip, RIva power filters, front bucket air mod, seat air mod, ff exhaust. Should I get a Ride plate, intake, or Tdr spray box?

    1200 grate (i would not run the ski again untill you get the stock grate off!!!!)
    pump tunnel reinforcment (a must do)
    pump seal kit (reduces cavatation)
    waveeater clips

    These mods should be done BEFORE you even think of modding it.

    Welcome to the forum, there is lots of good reading here, take some time and read as much as you can.

    Just read your mod list, if your running the carb filters or FA's without rejetting, you WILL lean it out! BOOM! Need to rejet.

    Whats the better grate for my setup. Mostly flat water, no white caps.

    R&D double bar intake grate, Jim FF plate. Did you get the waveater clip and coupler yet ??? That is a must have item. What Woody said, did you rejet your carb? You have to rejet with the FA...

    Speed I bought ski used. Previous owner did the mods besides air mods and ff soon to be installed. Really not sure, pulled plugs and they were dark kinda oily. I'm guessing it has Been rejetted. So the aquavein is better than the RIva for my situation, and setup. Is the jims mod done to my stock plate or a RIva or r/d plate? That will be after Xmas due to price.

    Jim mod is to the R&D plate. Doesn't matter on which grate Riva or R&D they are both the same except for the color. As for the jet, I would take the carb out and see what jet is in there, so at least you know what your running, if need to rejet go with 125 main 110 pilot 1.5n/s, 95 gram dull sliver spring

    ....Or you can call the previous owner and ask if he rejetted the carbs. Ask him what he rejetted to. If he gives you the same components listed, then you should be OK.

    Ok added 12" ff finally... Still could be louder. Added two flo rites to seat. RIva grate cause i like the blk color over r/d silver. Next performance mod a RIva or r/d ride plate?
