Aftermarket intake grates
Pro-tec lists 1 grate for 1100 and 1200.
R&D lists different grates for each.
Any 1200 guys using an 1100 grate? What were your results?
I heard that the 99 GP came with the 1100 grate(4 bar) which would help the pump from getting overstuffed at speed. Just checked....it is a 63M grate for 99 only
Jumper has an 1100 inlet duct, I have no idea which R&D grate she has.

Jumper has the R&D 1200 grate, the 1100 would stuff it so bad, she would go crazy Ivan on the first run. No real advantages unless you run low fuel, flat glass for radar and butt naked on the seat. I don't think I've used the oem 1100 more than twice because of the handling issue.
The 1100 shoe helps process the water better, there is a bit more material than the oem 1200 in the inlet area.

I have both a stock GP grate and a stock raider grate with the 2 bars removed. The raider has a gentler shoe angle, and the inlet is smaller. Mounting surfaces are identical. I do plan on testing both this year. . .
The black one is the raider.

great grate question,lol
I have wonder'd this too.. the gpr's are switching off grates between the 800's and the 1200/bb's depending on what their looking for...Ok, what would a Raider specific grate do on the GP? Are 760'S and 1200'S INTERCHANGEABLE with added bolt location drilled,or left out??Imt that the Rivas were all the same # in reguards to their model application, basiclly, the 6 or 8 Bolts, but that other producers(r&d,protec, ect, ect) made multiple specific aplication's....raider,gp,xl,then sub grouping's... 760 or 1200.My question??? Who experimented with these back in the day, what would one do for you , over the other???

I have a truly unique piece. I have not seen another though I am sure there are more. it is basicly the rear piece or inlet piece of the grate you bolt it in and it is machined to fit standard type grates I have not tried it I got it from the guy I got the ski from. I have currently a stock Pro-Tec grate in my 99

looks pretty neat Bill... looks as if you bolt different types of grates to it... you'd think the multiple styles of grates available in the superjet could work ... this would be easly tunable for different conditions.

From what I have found out it is made by Jet Dynamics and will fit 1100 and 1200's it will allow the use of blaster style grates or the jet dynamics grates
anybody wants to give it a try let me know I will send it to you

Is this mismatch normal?
If not, I think it is what you get when you use a 1200 grate (R&D) in an 1100 duct.

That's the way the Riva two bar grate looked on the raider. I just ground it down to match better.
