exhaust ring rubber boot normal operations - do i have a problem?
Hi guys just finished my rebuild on an xl700 that I just got. i started it up and am running on a hose. first i noticed some water running into the engine from the rubber boot at the base. tightened up hose clamp, water stopped. Notice now that there is a billowing when of the rubber boot around the exhaust ring when I hit the gas. Is this normal that exhaust and water are in the boot area or is there a problem with my exhaust ring or exhaust if this is happening. Afraid when I get it up to the water (hour each way) that this will turn into an issue with submerged exhaust operations.
