How can you use the same driveshaft from a regular Rx. The Rxx has a setback pump.

Keith, contact glen at skat-Trac. The driveshafts have been known to break on those skis. They rushed the hardening process to get the skis ready for the 2000 season. He remade a batch that are hardened properly. Might cost a bit more, but atleast you know you are getting the right shit and won't get stuck with a broken shaft in the heat.

The RX from my avatar has a setback pump. I bough it used and fit right on the driveshaft with no problems. Didn't know RXX's ones tend to bend or weaken. Mines got tu turn 6,800 rpms ok. In fact the pipes gave me more headache than the pump lol.

I love the factory pipes in my xpl. On and off in less the 20 minutes. It is a breeze. Hard to do that with a stock setup.
As for the pump. It will fit and work, but you are using less spline unless you have a long nosed prop. You will find out about this issue if you try and make any horse power. I spin well into the 7800 range. Your setup wouldn't make it off the dock at those rpms without the long nosed prop.

You should be turning 7250rpm on a stock Rxx.
