    solas prop cone

Is there any way of getting the cone of my solas which has lost it's threads to stay attached to the prop without having to pull the pump? I mean is there anything I can do by just taking off the intake grate and putting anything on the threads of the cone and pushing it back on? Is it a major threat to have the cone sliding freely up and down the drive shaft like that? I noticed the cone lose right before I lost my supercharger clutch last time, took it in for repairs, got it back today with new clutch and well the cone is still sliding free. Please give advice.

You will lose RPM's and have cavitation with the cone sliding free.

Pull your pump and put some red loc tite on the threads. Hopefully it will stay on then.

Before using the red loc tite, be sure you clean off all traces of oil or grease from the threads or it won't hold properly.

when re-installing the pump...does the circular part of the bolt for the trim arm go on the top or the bottom? does anyone have a picture of their pump or one they can show me so i know which way it goes? i ak this because before when i put my trim up all the way i would fly out the water and now the front hardly raises..
