    Replacing TPS

Hi everyone, new to the site. My buddy Nick (carguy89) has been posting my problems for me before I registered.

Anyway, I have a TPS coming and it looks like the only way to get to the bottom screw is to remove the whole plastic airbox assembly including the TB's, fuel rail, etc. I searched for this topic but didn't find anything. Anyone have any tips or a layout of what needs to be done? Also, do I have to do anything like reset the ECU once the new sensor is in place?

    Thanks,

    Ted

    What model/year is your ski?

According to my 09 FZR service manual: "TPS 1 & 2 are components of the electronic throttle valve which cannot be disassembled." Are you replacing the entire throttle body? The four nuts (with washers) securing the throttle body to the studs protruding from the throttle damper plate are accessible without removing the manifold.
That said, I think you'll save yourself a lot of grief by just pulling the entire intake manifold w/ attached fuel rail.

Just looked at my 07.......removing the bottom fixing does not look to be a problem.....03 may be different.
