    00 Virage TX Fall/Winter Project and ?s

    Another Project for me:

Newborn in the house and a slight job change means my dreams of a Pro1200 complete build this winter aren't going to happen. I still might try to pick up a complete Pro soon and sell off the parts I have for one but thats another story.

I have a Virage TX (carb) that I am going to freshen up looks wise this fall/winter and add a few bits and pieces to. In addition, although its in great shape I really want to give it a serious cleaning and polishing.

    Parts I have:
    F/As and Adapters
Renthals and UMI steering and some Kevlar Grips
    Oil Block Off Kit
    Primer Kit
    Finger Throttle
    Pro1200 Impeller

Parts I still need to Pick Up:
    Hydro Turf mats
    Seat Cover
    V-Force Reeds.
    Grate of Some Flavor

I will take some pictures of its current state this weekend hopefully.
Maybe Some Sponsons if I can actually Find a set.

    So a few questions:

Recomendation for jetting after the f/a's and reeds? (TXPro Im looking at you )
    Same thing for Oil/Gas Mix?

Sent you an email about the Pro you sold me last summer... since I haven't been using it I have changed my mind and would be interested in selling it... BTW, congrats on the new child!

Did you call this weekend Doug?

I was probably in transit to or from the lake to pick up my skis. Lake Whitney is about 19' low. So depressing and no relief in sight.

    Okay,

In addition to the other stuff I would really like to by-pass the planet stuff... It just gets in the way and the mounting nuts are always coming loose.

What is the best way to go about that?

    Thanks!

    Also,

on the WORX website their sponsons are listed like this:

All Virage/Freedom, All TX, All SL, All SLT, All SLXH...

Does that mean I could use a set of sponsons meant for an SL900/SL1050 on my virage?

Treybiz - I would rethink the UMI steering on your ski. I looked into it, and it requires cutting the hull and losing the glovebox on a Virage. Not really worth it. I bought some new bushings and that tightened the steering right up.
Also make sure you get the hydroturf mats with the self adhesive, and clean the hull really well with mineral spirits before sticking them on.
