    arp rocker bolts

    hello just wanted to know what the torque spec was for arp rocker arm bolts. i upgraded my valves and torqued them to 40ftlbs i ran it all labor day weekend am i good ?

    35ft/lbs you should be fine.

    anyone else ever break an ARP in the head at 27 ft lbs with their moly lube? maby ARP is reading this and will send me some new ones

    Check that tiawaniese torque wrent 27 ft pounds breaks a arp bolt no way!!!!1

    It's a snap on wrench and they are the rocker bolts not the head bolts I guess I have all the luck

    You guys sure thats the right torque(35ft/lbs) for the rocker shaft bolts? Seems high to me for that size bolt into a aluminum head. JMO

    For the same reasons you are reading here on this thread. Too many problems with people not torquing correctly, etc.

    I HIGHLY recommend you guys be using the OEM stretch bolts for the rocker shaft. They are cheaper too!

    The only thing I recommend you run the ARP studs (Riva kit) for is the head studs and I recommend they be torqued to 95 ft lbs.

    I also recommend using the OEM stretch bolts on the OEM connecting rods.... not ARP.
