    Q's about SS stators

Ok I am looking to buy one for my SL750. Just wanted to get some feed back on these. I am looking at getting the 6 vein, because of price, unless someone can tell me why I should get the bigger ones, and justify the price differance. These are new Polaris SS stators.

    6 vein - $155
    8 vein - $388
    12 vein-$404

you want the 6 vein. you need a lot more power for the other models. You should see 1.5 - 2 mph on the top and better acceleration especially in the choppy water.

A 6 would be great. You do not have the HP to pull an 8.

The 8's and 12's will certainly need more HP. It's funny how a more expensive mod can make you go slower without the right combo.

    My honest opinion,
If you ride in a lot of choppy water, or the pump comes *unhooked* a lot. The 6-vane may help you.

It helps a lot on the SL hulls, in rough water. But if you're still running the short pump, you may not notice much difference.
I ran one on my old SLT, and didn't notice the difference until I extended the pump.
You won't need the 8+ vane unless you're running more than 120hp.

Polaris lists 6 vein at $239...stator only. Add bearings, spacer, seals and o-rings you're looking at around $321 plus tax.

http://allJet.com is where I found these prices. Rember they are bare (no bearings or seals). Thank you everyone. That is what I thought, but just wanted to be sure.

They don't have a lot of the items as listed, manifolds inparticular.
