    GPR Bouncing

So my GPR was dialed in for the last perfectly for the last 2 seasons.

Just added an HO pump, 14/20 Dynafly, and some Sonic Booms, now here comes the bounce.

I guess I will keep adding to the list this year... Reeds, Leos Wedge, etc... and tune the ride plate next year...

150 psi head, freeflow, 4 deg key, HO pump, IR mod 4 plate at .950- .980, stock reeds, stock tabs, 1200 grate

I recently did most of the same mods, with the same bounce. Have you tried shimming your tabs at all? It cured all the bouncing for me.. Definitely check out Leo's wedge!

I added an R&D ride plate, pretty much bolted straight up, shimmed a bit in the back though and Riva extended trim tabs, shimmed down a bit - pretty much no bounce now, granted I guess I lost some speed, but I don't care.

Focus on adding some shims to the trim tabs.. I personally prefer the longer Riva or R&D trim tabs over stock. Simply comes down to personal preference and the conditions you ride in.

extended tabs will cost you speed....

shimming stock tabs and stepping sponsons will not ....and will fix the bounce...if it still bounces after that shim the plate too

I have a riva lightened hull, I have to use the extended tabs, all the above ideas Ben has tried, me also while I was in Alabama,as far as scrubbing speed.........this stroker fills all voids.

Welcome to the world of tuning. One mod almost always effects another. I agree with the other suggestions, as in trying to shim the tabs etc. The good news is, once you play with ride plate angle, trim tab shimming etc, you should see a speed increase going to the new pump. Good luck!

I am also planning a raised jug, 4mm stroker crank build. It will have .035-.040 squish, 87mm slugs, enlarged exhaust ports, and maybe some processor reprogramming. Should be in the mid 1400cc range all single pipe and injected. Big inches turning big rpm's equals big speeds, glad yours is running well.

Step the sponsons for a quick fix. Then try tuning between stepped sponsons and adding a little shim to the trim tabs and see if you can get the sponsons back up and not lose any speed or perhaps even gain a little without the bounce.
