    Virage I Impeller Question

    Hello,

I have a 2003 Virage I and it has not been used in 2 years. I started it up today and all seems to be good, just needed a new battery.

    Question is:
Should I be able to spin the impeller by hand ? I tried to move it and it seems stuck. Just not sure if normal or should it spin freely ?

    Thanks

It won't free spin. It is directly connected to the motor, So your turning engine compression .

Thanks for the reply, so should I expect to see if spinning when the engine is at idle ? Because it doesn't appear to be spinning at all, or would I need it in water ?

When the motor is running,It will spin, even at idle. Unless you've have a coupler problem. If it was running when last rode, that wouldn't happen.

Are you sure your not seeing the stator vains, they don't spin. the prop is behind them.
