03 gtx rfi le hi temp

I have an 03 GTX RFI LE that it throwing a hi temp warning as soon as the dess cap is placed or shortly after starting. If have swapped out the sensor and done the tests in the shop manual. Does this code have to be cleared with BUDS or should it clear itself if the problem is found and fixed? Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Dont think the code needs to be cleared to run correctly. It should go fine if you fixed the problem. Sounds like you did not fix the issue that is causing the problem. You need to clear the codes with a candoo or buds and then see what kind of faults your pulling. Does it go into limp mode or just beep?

Does not go into limp mode light blinks but no beep. I have checked this thing seven ways to Sunday. I am trying to help a friend, my hope is that the problem is not in the mpem.

A real High Temp mode fault would put the seadoo into limp mode (wont accelerate over 5000 rpm's) so that it does not do damage to the motor. As you know these RFI's are real sticky to diagnosis. You really need a buds or candoo to help (short of replacing part after part). If you were closer to SE MI, I would suggest you come by but you really need to find someone closer to you. Let me post on the candoo forum and if anyone is in your area and wants to help I will let you know.

Otherwise, sound like a trip to a competent dealer is in order.

p.s. a regular home version of a candoo pro is just $400. (good for 4 machines) I know you can spend that in a heartbeat at the dealer.
