To the top? I found that 1 gram = 1ml when dealing with water. Now I know that water is heavier than oil (or oil based grease...), and the XPS tube has 110 ml in it. so im guessing a 4th the tube? Or am I thinking to much...

most ppl go with gear oil it lubricates the bearings better than the grease, I went with gear oil after my bearings went out at 100 hrs

Filler up.. I usually buy the whole tube of XPS and fill the bearing side up and put the rest into the cone. I only do this to ensure the bearings are greased.
