    My winter plans. . .

With everyone sharing there plans, I figure I'll share mine.

Bilge pump, and fill the nozzle holes
    5* nozzle
    trued protec shortie
custom riva plate based on the GPR plates. . . maybe even adjustable
If time allows, I may even make a plate from scratch. . .
    VF2's
    home made reed spacer
fill the crossover holes in the intake
    blueprint the pump
qsts from a gpr with 5 positions
    homemade sponsons if time allows
small windshield if i can find the right donor.
    gp12 petcock
filled ride plate & pump holes
Bilge blower with a florite on a dedicated hose
try to find a spare cylinder and case to practice porting. . .

As it stands I have a total of 5 props to test next year.

Should be interesting. My goal is a consistent 63-65 real world speed.

    I like your todo list!

If you want I can trace out my Riva Reed Spacer on some paper and send it to you.

Have you thought about just changing the housing on the trim handle to the gp one and not the whole assembly (part number GP7-U152M-00-00). I had my trim handle apart this weekend installing new grips and I think the only difference is this part. Might save some money.

Custom riva plate sounds interesting is this a secret project?

    What's the gp12 petcock?

I tried the thing with the trim. The 5 position systems are totally different inside. I actually allready installed it on mine. Got it on ebay everything swaped over, and I used my cables.

The riva ride plate is a secret for now.

the protec has allready been trued- it's unbelieveable what they concider quality. I almost needed to remove 1/8th from both sides to get it straight. Just need to figure out the speedo mount.

the petcock is because I am running gp12 carbs. the id on the 12's is .5mm larger than the raiders. I don't want that thing starving for fuel.

Thanks for the offer on the spacer, but mine is already apart. Just need to measure. A pic would be cool?

Here's a pic of the spacer and gaskets.

I understand about the petcock now. I used my reserve line from the tank as a second fuel line and bypassed the petcock. My carbs came off a polaris 785 and only have fuel pumps on the two outside carbs.

Thanks for the pic. Looks like alot of machining

That spacer isn't angled is it? what's the thickness?

785 carbs, that's cool. How do they work? What's your jetting?

Sorry for the interrogation. I'll stop now

    winter plans

Take the GroupK 927 from the C/F boat and put it into the sons boat. Put the Dan Lamey 927 into the C/F boat. Sons boat to get the single exhaust re-installed (mainly so I don't have to pull so much maintenance with the twin pipes). C/F boat will get either modified Coffman 951 (seadoo) exhaust or back with the Speedwerx twins (2/3 of 1200 pipes). Son's boat also getting Skat pump 148mm (thanks o-side bill), Riva trim system (thanks davedman), going to try R-pot carbon fiber ride plate, Worx intake grate (GP1200 to fit the larger pump tunnel), C/F hood, T/L ignition.

That should be enough, but we'll see.

The 785 carbs are Mikuni sbn 44's, I think there the same as the gp1200 carbs except for haveing just two fuel pumps. I got them off Ebay for a good price. I went ahead and rebuilt them and set the pop off to 28 psi. Currently the jets are 100 pilot and 115 mains, I think I will change the mains to 125 because of the porting I just did and the 120 cfm fans that were just installed. Installing the carbs on a R and D intake took some effort, the throttle shafts had to be cut down to fit the carbs on.

The carbs made a difference but not as much as I hoped for. Thats why I'm doing all the engine work. I think the ski will really wake up when it's back together.
