1996 Waveraider W/ Lightweight Custom Hull and Riva Ported Motor

Thought I would post my recent build here.

As some of you probably know, this is not your average 1996 Yamaha Waveraider. This is a Team Yamaha Racing Hull with 1200 cc GP motor. This hull is ultra rare. It is very lightweight and turns on a dime. I bought this from a friend (original owner) who kept it in the garage since day one. It had a blown motor and needed to be gone through completely. I gutted the hull and replaced or repaired just about everything in this ski. It looks like it is almost brand new. The paint is original so it has scratches that a typical 15 year old ski would have, but is ultra glossy and looks great.

    Hope you like the build

We radar'd it at 62. I know the prop isn't what it should be. I know with a little prop work and nozzle adjustment, it should run 65. Remember, this is a hull designed for closed course racing. It rides very flat (not nose up) with the hull sticking to the water which I am sure is why it isn't a top end ski.

I will get some pics of the ride plate today.
