Ran out of adjustment handlebars still not straight, can I???

Can I cut the end off of the threaded end of the steering cable under the hood, to shorten it and rethread it?

I would be very carefull modding the steering cable, the last thing you want to fail at high speed is that.

I take it you have gone to UMI or X steering??

I have had "fun" with a few sets of steering when fitting UMI or The X setup but I havnt needed to mod the cable.

I take it you have used all you can at the nozzle to try and adjust it??

Did you adjust the big nut on the cable housing under the steering column?
Here is a link that explains this.

Hmmm. Never had a problem installing x steering on an rxp. When it runs out of threads on the cable end I just adjust the big nut on the cable housing to compensate and readjust the cable end at the rear.

Me either, I'm sucked in on all adjustments, and it appears I need to be about a half inch shorter yet to be on center?

No one else has any thoughts or why this problem has come up on this ski?
